“I just think that nothing good can come from being ashamed of natural physical maturation and desires.”

The View: What Is A Slut? The Ladies Of The View Weigh In.

I completely agree with Tracie and have had this discussion with my boyfriend – we argued for a while back and forth; me postulating that any form of abstinence education is idealistic and ridiculous, him claiming that, well, it isn’t.  Or even if it is, does that make it wrong to teach it?

Wrong, no – confusing yes.

Adam McKay: We’re Gonna Frickin’ Lose this Thing

September 9, 2008 at 11:07 am (politics) (, , , )

Ha! “A beauty queen who shoots foxes from a plane.”

Adam McKay: We’re Gonna Frickin’ Lose this Thing.

I had this same feeling last night, watching the news, hearing the neck-and-neckness of the race, seeing Palin getting cheers for transparancy of public fund use.  Cheers!  Loud ones!  Like it’s something to be lauded, not expected.  That is how far from actual democracy this country has come.

As a permanent resident who will be applying for citizenship in 2011, I wish I could vote; I’m just not sure how much good it would do.

Seattle’s weekly has a handy poll, go register your current election-related state of mind.
