30 Books Everyone Should Read Before Their 30th Birthday | Marc and Angel Hack Life.
I love this list! Classic fiction, modern and otherwise, mixed in with essential philosophical, sociological and business reading.
Not to sound smug, but I have read some of these, the ones that pique my interest right now are:-
12. The Tipping Point
I’m currently reading the graphic novel Watchmen, in advance of the film release, and the story revolves around the possibility of World War III being provoked so I’m interested in social changes and the factors that motivate them. What would provoke civil unrest in this culture of apathy, to the point of rioting and anarchy? I’m not sure this book will answer that particular question but
17. Four Quartets by TS Eliot
I’m also reading The Archivist, which centers around a university librarian who is the guardian of a collection of TS Eliot’s private letters. Some of his poetry is scattered throughout the book and it’s definitely something I’d like to read more of.
18. Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
19. The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald
22. The Price by Niccolo Machiavelli
26. Getting Things Done
Argh! Time management! Not my strong point. Hope this book will help, I’m persuading my boss right now that this is a valid purchase on my corporate credit card =)
